With tipped-in article, "Who's who in fairyland" by L. R. Buckley.

From doctor and author, Percival Macleod Yearsley, whose published works spanned a wide range of subjects including medicine, history and literature. In 1923 he published A Fairy-tale of the Sea, an original children's story. This scholarly guide to fairy-tale symbols and themes came a year later.

This thoroughly researched and often cited work explores the roots, tropes and significance of common fairy-tale ideas, with chapter titles such as "Primitive Customs Occuring in Fairy-Tale", "Cinderella and the Outcast Child" and "Bluebeard and the Forbidden Chamber".
