The new edition of G. J. Whyte-Melville's Market Harborough and Inside the Bar, in half blue morocco with marbled boards. Undated, circa 1900. With intricate gilt detailing and raised bands on the spine, complete with marbled endpapers, this is a well bound copy of the new edition of Whyte-Melville's two most popular stories.
George John Whyte-Melville was a notable Scottish poet, novelist, and soldier, known for his military novels inspired by his experience in the Crimean War.
Condition
In half blue morocco with marbled boards and gilt decoration to spine. Externally, very smart with visible rubbing to extremities, including to head and tail of spine and to joints. Minor loss of leather to top of front joint. Green spine as a result of fading. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
