In this work Whymper presents his successful expedition in the Great Andes of South America, which includes the ascents of Chimborazo, Corazon, Sincholagua, Cotopaxi, Pichincha, Cayambe and Carihuairazo.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, very good, with some rubbing to the extremities and the odd light mark. Small hole to front hinge of volume I. Mark to the rear board of supplementary volume. Front hinge of supplementary volume is strained, but holding generally firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with some pages remaining unopened. A few tears to the central folds of folding map held in the rear pocket to volume I.
