With a eight colour plates by the English illustrator William James Affleck Shepherd, including a frontispiece, and vignettes throughout. Collated, complete.

A story that follows the adventures of a foxhound, describing his life with a hunt.

Condition

In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with slight fading to spine. Bumping the extremities, heavier to head of spine. Internally, firmly bound with the exception of the frontispiece which is working loose frontispiece, with small tear. Original tissue guard present. Pages generally bright and clean with occasional spotting. Age toning to the endpapers. 1910 ink signature by a previous owner to front free endpaper.
