Printed on Arches paper by The Kynoch Press, with seven plates and a coloured frontispiece. Printed from the original woodblocks and colour stencilled by The Curwen Press. Collated, complete.
A lovely Nonesuch Press edition of John Bunyan's two of John Bunyan's works; 'The Pilgrim's Progress' and 'The Life & Death of Mr. Badman' in one volume, with illustrations throughout. Two notable allegorical works of theological fiction, with 'Mr Badman' being intended to be a continuation of 'The Pilgrim’s Progress'.
Condition
In the original publisher's marble cloth binding. Externally in lovely condition, with minor fading to spine. Offsetting to free endpapers. Slight rubbing to spine label. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with some dusting to roughly cut fore edge.
