The first edition in the publisher's original cloth, rebacked in morocco. 

Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and nineteen colour plates with captioned tissue guards. Collated, complete.

This work details Tennyson's homes at Farringford and Aldworth, and the areas surrounding them. Written by Arthur Paterson, an English writer. Illustrated by Helen Allingham, a British watercolourist and illustrator of the Victorian era.

With six pages of original publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth, rebacked in blue morocco with gilt detailing to the spine. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the joints and boards. Slight fading and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright with slight age toning and the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages. Contains six pages of original publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.
