    In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding.

    Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and forty-nine further colour plates by Lady Lawley, as well as folding sketch map to the rear. Collated, complete.

    An illustrated travel work on Southern India, describing the culture, religious beliefs, scenery and architecture of this area, written by F. E. Penny.

    With two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. 

    With the bookplate of Comm: of the Epiphany.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with light bumping and minor rubbing to the extremities. Front hinge is slightly tender, with cords visible. Bookplate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with the odd mark.
