A discussion and review of planning proposals made for the reconstruction of the city of London post-war. The report, compiled for the view of the Lord Mayor, covers changes to be made to traffic, land and buildings after the damage made by enemy bombings.
Profusely illustrated, with a frontispiece and eight plates, four of which are in colour. With seventeen coloured folding plans in total, sixteen of which are to the rear. With two monochrome folding plates showing aerial views of London. With a folding graph of London statistics and three further folding plates, one being an aerial photograph of the city taken in 1935.
Collated, complete.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's original cloth. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the extremities and the odd mark. Cloth is a little frayed to the spine head and extremities. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages and plates are very bright and clean.
