    In beautiful green and gold original publisher's variant cloth binding. With gilded pages. Rebacked with spine laid down. 

    With a folding map and numerous in-text illustrations. Collated complete.

    Featuring a publisher's advertisement to the rear of the book.

    This text insightfully details religion and culture in the Anatolian region of Cilicia, which now makes up part of Türkiye. Written by William Burckhardt Barker, who spent significant time in Cilicia, and edited by the credited William Francis Ainsworth.

    Condition

    In original publisher's variant cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with the odd mark and rubbing resulting in loss to cloth. Rebacked with spine laid down. Bookplate to front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound with binding tender towards the front of the book. Pages generally bright and clean with spotting concentrated towards the first and last few pages. Sporadic ink annotations throughout.
