    An early edition of this entertaining novel detailing the romantic strife of the young Earl of Droitwich, Tony. With two engagements, a switched-at-birth scenario and many family secrets, Tony drifts from one chaotic situation to the next.

    Written by English novelist and celebrated humorist, P. G. Wodehouse, known for his amusing approach to writing, and for the creation of many beloved characters, including Jeeves and Wooster.

    This novel was based on a play of the same name, written by Wodehouse and Guy Bolton.

    Condition

    Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear and a little bumping to the spine head. Dust wrapper is sound, with edge wear and chipping, and more significant loss to the spine head and tail. Light creasing to the extremities and sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
