Wonderfully illustrated with thirty-eight colour plates to Volume I and a further fifty-six to Volume II. Collated, complete.
With a previous owner's ink inscription of R. M. White, Alice Hinds and "Dashwood" to the front endpaper.
Condition
Bound in rebacked quarter morocco with paper-covered boards, with original spine and spine label laid down. Externally, sound, with rubbing to the extremities, causing slight loss to the boards. The odd mark to boards. Endpapers have been renewed, with an inscription to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with occasional scattered spotting. In Volume II, there is a tide mark to the tail of the first thirty-four pages, including the title page, and to the head of the last thirty pages.
