Len Deighton is a British author known for his novels on espionage and military history. His other works include The Ipcress File, Horse Under Water and Funeral in Berlin. He is also known for writing a number of cookery books.

This particular novel is set across Pairs, Manhattan, Dublin and Africa, exploring relationships between couples made up of professional rivals, spies and allies.

In original publisher's cloth binding with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in excellent condition, with light bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper in excellent condition, with sunning to the spine and the occasional mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
