In half vellum with patterned paper-covered boards. With a monochrome portrait frontispiece of Church. 

This second edition of Life and Letters of Dean Church was published just one year after the first. It details the life and correspondence of author Richard William Church, also called Dean Church, known for being the dean at St. Pauls.

In this work, Mary C. Church (Church's daughter) categorises his life in three periods: early life and time at Oxford, experiences at a parish in Whatley, and his time as Dean at St. Pauls.

Condition

In half vellum with patterned paper-covered boards. Red morocco spine label. Externally, very smart, with just some subtle rubbing to joints and extremities. Handling marks to vellum. Internally, firmly bound. Slight marginal age toning, with spotting to first and last few pages.
