This work was published for the Organization for Flora Neotropica, a series of monographs studying American plants and plant families in the region of the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn. This particular volume was Monograph No. 9, on the topic of Chrysobalanaceae, a family of flowering plants consisting of around seven hundred species of trees and shrubs.

Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, excellent, with light sunning to the extremities and the odd mark to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. A little damp staining to the rear, not affecting text.
