What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
Two volumes, with two leaflet programmes. Very scarce work. A set of two matching souvenir brochures from "The Talk of the Town", a famous theatre restaurant and nightclub located in the old London Hippodrome. Originally built as a circus variety theatre in 1900, the theatre was converted to "The Talk of the Town" in 1958 by Bernard Delfont and Charles Forte. Known for its cabaret and revues which ran from 1958 to 1982 and featured stars like Shirley Bassey and Eartha Kitt, the dinner theatre experience was a hit. These brochures contain a list of the stars in the upcoming shows, including Liza Minelli, Bruce Forsyth, and the Beverly Sisters, as well as photographs from each of the shows and a guide to what's on. With advertisements throughout.
