He resides in the fictional setting of Toyland, where he works as a taxi driver. This set contains: Noddy at the Seaside, c1953. With stories such as: Big-Ears has a Plan, Off to the Seaside, and What a Lovely Time! Cheer Up, Little Noddy!, 1960. With stories such as: Two Bad Little Bears, The Old Saucepan Man, and Everyone is Kind to Noddy. Written by Enid Mary Blyton, an English children's writer widely regarded as one of the most successful and prolific writers of all time, particularly in the realm of children's literature. Illustrated by Harmsen van der Beek, or just Beek, a Dutch illustrator and commercial artist best remembered for his illustration of Enid Blyton's Noddy books.
Condition
In the original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor chipping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. With the original price-clipped dust wrapper to Noddy at the Seaside. Wrapper is sound with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. With light loss to the head of the spine and a 2" closed tear to the front panel. The odd small mark to the panels with a 1" closed tear to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Loss to the front endpaper of Cheer Up, Little Noddy!
