Description
Illustrated, Original Binding, Very Scarce
A delightful pair of miniature accordion souvenir books, one containing eight coloured prints of Paris landmarks and one containing twelve monochrome photographs of El Escorial.
Paris souvenir is bound in a charming engraved metal case, designed to take the form of a book, with a working metal clasp. El Escorial souvenir in a wallet-style full crushed morocco binding, with string attachment.
Both books measure a mere 1" by 0.5". Depicting landmarks such as the Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and the Royal Site of San Lorenzo.
Condition
Paris souvenir in an engraved metal 'book' case, with working clasp. El Escorial souvenir in a wallet-style full crushed morocco binding, with string attachment. Externally, very smart, with only wear visible being to the wallet-style attachment to 'El Escorial' and light rubbing to the 'Paris' metal case. Internally, 'Paris' pictures are detached from the primary picture pasted down on the inside. Illustrations themselves are bright and clean, with only a couple minor spots to 'Paris'.
