This delightful handmade work, possibly designed in the style of earlier works produced by private presses, includes children's poems and rhymes such as 'Hickory, Dickory, Dock!', 'There was an old woman who lived in a shoe', and 'Mary, Mary, quite contrary'.
Illustrated with ten woodcuts.
With the text elegantly produced in calligraphy by hand, this is a delightful work.
Condition
In the original paper wraps. Externally, excellent. Offsetting from removed age toned tape from front and rear pastedown and endpapers. Significant spotting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with the odd spot.
