A very scarce book of embroidery transfers issued by J & P Coats, a maker of fabrics, apparel and haberdashery products. These booklets feature guide sheets to embroider over, with instructions on which type of stitch to use for each section of the image.
The instructions advertise using ANCHOR cottons, and state that the booklets can be obtained from Clark & Co Ltd.
Undated, dated by other examples of Coats' transfer books.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper covers. Externally excellent with minor handling marks to the rear and the odd spot. Internally firmly bound with the odd spot.
