What Our Customers Say...
Description
Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A pop-up book in the original quarter cloth and pictorial paper boards.
This copy is undated. Dated here using Jisc, from a copy of a different work from the same series held at the Victoria and Albert Museum Libraires.
Raphael Tuck & Sons was founded in 1866, selling pictures, greeting cards, and postcards. They started publishing books with pop-ups from the 1890s. The books in the series A Father Tuck “Come-to-Life” Little Book were small and each had two fan-folded pop-ups.
This volume, illustrated throughout by Dinah, includes two charming double-page fold-out panoramas, both preserved in full working order. Collated, complete.
Condition

Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a few light spots and handling marks heavier to first and last few leaves. Pop-ups in full working order.
