Collated, complete.

A charming mid-twentieth-century collection of tales for children, including 'The Tasks of Hercules', 'The Signing of the Magna Charter', 'The Mole's Fortress' and more. 

Edited by S. Louis Giraud. 

The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books.

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Oxford Libraries.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards and spine. Externally, lacking most of the paper backstrip, with rubbing to the remaining backstrip. Light bumping to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Paper is lifting a little to the joints. Small stamp to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with a few scattered spots. Prior owner's coloured in to the in-text illustration to 'A Queen's Plea'. Pop-ups are complete and in full working order.
