What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The ninth impression. First published in 1927.

Dated from the publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Bound in the publisher's bright red cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.

A witty collection of nine short stories, all of which are narrated by the talkative pub raconteur, Mr. Mulliner, who has the impressive ability to whip up a story on any given subject. All apart from one of the stories are told from the comfort of the Angler's Rest pub, with the exception of "Honeysuckle Cottage".

This is the first introduction of Mr. Mulliner, who subsequently appears in a number of Wodehouse's other works.

Condition

Bound in the publisher's bright red cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is smart, with edge wear, light chipping and the occasional closed tear. Light marking to the wrap, with sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and a little age toned.
