Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding
Dated from the National Railway Museum. The complete collection of fifty Wills Cigarette Cards, with colourful illustrations of railway engines. Each card is accompanied by a description of the engine and a brief historical sketch of the model. Issued by W. D. & H. O. Wills, a founding branch of the Imperial Tobacco Company of Great Britain and Ireland, a tobacco manufacturing company formed in Bristol, England. It was the first British company to mass-produce cigarettes.
Condition
In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and spotting to the boards. A small closed tear to the front board and the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot.
