A later edition, dated from ink inscription. First published in 1930. In the publishers original red cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Inscribed by Martin-Harvey on the front free endpaper: 'To Mrs Hardy, with all good wishes, Martin Harvey 1939'. Illustrated throughout with photographic and illustration plates and a coloured frontispiece. This is a commemorative volume published circa 1930, celebrating the life and career of Sir John Martin-Harvey (1863-1944), a distinguished English stage actor and manager, renowned for both his performances and his contributions to the stage. Complied and edited by R. N. Green-Armitage (R.N.G.-A.), the book includes a foreword from R. B. Cunninghame Graham. This edition is printed and engraved in Great Britain at the Burleigh Press, Lewin's Mead, Bristol.
Condition
In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in smart condition. Slight fading to spine and slight shelf wear. Ink inscription from author to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper is generally smart with chipping to extremities. Handling marks to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with spotting to fore edge and first and last few leaves.
