Description

Illustrated, Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce photo album, documenting a trip to Greece and Jerusalem. 

By L. J. Speight of Worthing, who photographed their mother and 'Nance' as they travelled aboard the Theophile Gautier. They passed Messina and Stromboli before arriving in Athens, whereupon Speight photographed many of the sites and relics of the city. They then moved on past Dardanelles, to Istanbul, then Jerusalem, where likewise Speight photographed the beauties and antiquities.

Including a total of one hundred and twenty eight photographs.

Condition

In the original paper covered boards. Externally, smart, with light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. A few of the photographs are working loose.
