Description
Illustrated, Leather Binding, Rebound, Signed, Very Scarce, With Letter
A large handwritten history of the French capital. Penned by one Joan Sandeman, whose name is stamped in gilt to the base of the spine. With over 50 postcards and pictures tipped in, a few empty but labelled spots where assumedly some have fallen out, been neatly removed or never added, but on the whole this seems to be practically complete. With articles on various Parisian buildings, landmarks and antiquities including Notre Dame, the Palais Royal and Vincennes Written in French. A unique and fascinating book.
Condition
In a half calf binding over paper covered boards. Externally, sound with some wear and bumping to extremities. Spine slightly cocked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages have occasional spots and handling marks but are on the whole bright and clean.
