Originally published as 'Robur-le-Conquerant', or 'Robur the Conqueror', in French in 1886.
'Clipper of the Clouds' is an exciting sci-fi novel by Jules Verne, with mysterious lights and sounds reported in the skies across the world, and flags hung in seemingly impossible places...
In 1904 Verne published a sequel to this novel, 'Master of the World'.
Undated, dated from publication information regarding Sampson Low's Jules Verne series, with the outlined Taj Mahal/Onion Dome front board.
Condition
In the original publishers cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping and discolouration to the head and tail of the spine. Spots to the top and fore edge. Dust wrapper is worn with edge wear, chips to the head and tail of the spine, and head of the front wrap, and a small patch of surface loss to the front wrap. Wraps are age-toned with some light handling marks. Front fly leaf is detached but present. Tears to the fold of the rear fly leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots.
