Very scarce work. Illustrated with forty-two bright coloured plates. A collection of exciting and charming animal stories for children, from following Towser, the dog, through his day, to the mischievous doings of Bobby, the dog, with some other animals, and some little story animals who wore clothes. Written and illustrated by Cecil Aldin, a British artist and illustrator, best known for his sketches of animals.

Condition

In the original quarter beige cloth with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping. Minor chipping to the extremities and fading to the spine. The odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. The odd small closed tear to the extremities. Front endpaper and pastedown illustration has been painted with watercolours by a previous owner.
