Illustrated with a tipped in colour frontispiece and eleven further tipped in colour plates, alongside further vignettes, by British illustrator Mabel Lucie Attwell.
Collated, complete.
Attwell's illustrations were first combined with Barrie's work in 1921.
This story, otherwise known as 'Peter Pan; Or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up' is J. M. Barrie's most famous work. It tells the tale of a mischievous boy who can fly and has many adventures on the island of Neverland.
The story explores themes of childhood, imagination, and fear of growing up. It has been adapted into numerous stage plays, films, and other media and remains a beloved classic of children's literature.
Undated; dated circa 1924 via the University of Bristol Libraries.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Light rubbing to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages just a touch age toned, but clean.
