A very scarce collection of Saxon postcards from various regions of Switzerland and Germany. 

Comprising of the following 'Sachsische Heimatschutz-Postkarten im Austrage des Landesvereins Sachsischer Heimatschutz in Dresden': 
Sachsische Schweiz I
Sachsische Schweiz II
Sachsische Schweiz III 
Oberwiesenthal 

These collections of photographs were printed in approximately 1920. 

They are reprints of the photographs taken by Bertha Zillessen (1872-1936), the first professional photographer in Bautzen. Her photographs depict rural lifestyles, nature, and local architecture in this region.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, smart, with some minor shelf wear and a few small closed tears to the wraps. A small mark to the front of Sachsische Schweiz I. Light pencil inscriptions to the head of each wrap. Internally, postcards are unbound as called for. They are unused, bright, and clean.
