Illustrated, Leather Binding

Illustrations to this work are engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. Undated, dated using Copac. Edited by Howard Staunton, a Shakespearean scholar and chess master.

Condition

In half calf bindings with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with patches of light rubbing to the extremities and to the joints. Small losses to the head and tail of spines due to rubbing. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Heavy spotting to the first and last few pages, and some light spotting to the foredge, heavier to volume I. Otherwise, just the odd spots.
