Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper

In the original cloth binding.

This story centres on Una Carteret, a strong, vigorous young woman who had grown up alone on a rock-bound coast of England.

When her guardian, who had abandoned her for years, returns and marries her to a man she hardly knows, the trajectory of her life is completely changed.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the head of the spine. Dust wrapper has scattered handling marks to the wrap and slightly worn edges heaviest to the head. A couple closed tears to the left flyleaf and a small chip the spinal panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with scattered spotting on the fore edge affecting the odd page.
