A vanishingly scarce work.
A curious rag book for children, produced by Dean's Rag Book Company. Founded in 1903, the company produced simple printed cloth books, ideal for very small children.
'The House That Jack Built' is an English nursery rhyme, which became popular after Randolph Caldecott illustrated a version of it, which was published in 1878. This edition is illustrated in colour to each page, including to the wraps.
Ink inscription to the first page, "Kathleen Hoy, 12-3-15".

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth wraps. Externally, generally smart. Cloth is a little faded and rubbed, with a few light marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with a few scattered spots and handling marks. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first page.
