A very scarce early twentieth century edition of Charlotte Bronte's celebrated novel.

Illustrated with a frontispiece.

A smart edition of Bronte's classic novel about the life of the eponymous heroine, and her relationship with her employer, the brooding master of Thornfield Hall.

With sixteen pages of advertisements to the rear.

Undated; dated circa 1910 via the advertisements.

A very scarce edition of the novel from South Kensington based published Lamley & Co, who produced relatively few works.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Boards lightly age toned to perimeters, with fading to rear board. Rear hinge a touch strained to the head, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with light spotting throughout.
