The first edition of an uncommon copy of the eighty-third annual volume of The Child's Companion, published every year by The Religious Tract Society.
The volume is beautifully illustrated with a colour frontispiece and even has a double page picture puzzle patchwork competition to the middle of the volume. There are fifteen pages of advertisement's in total to the front and rear of the volume.
The annual contains a variety of stories, poetry, images and rhymes to educated children in the ways to lead a good Christian life.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth decorative binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear. There are some marks to the boards and the spine is a little bumped and faded. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright and clean pages with the odd scattered spot throughout.
