This work is the sequel to Jules Verne's 'From the Earth to the Moon', an exciting science fiction novel which continues the trip to the Moon after a group have been fired out of the Columbiad space gun.
'Round the Moon' has also been translated as 'Circling the Moon' and 'All Around the Moon', and was first published as 'Autour de la Lune' in 1869.
Undated; dated circa 1905 via date of former owner's inscription, and the date of other Verne titles published by Butterworth.
With a former owner's inscription, dated Christmas 1905, to the front free endpaper, and a former owner's label to the head of the front pastedown.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Bumping to spine head, with light rubbing to joints. Front hinge strained and somewhat tender, with rear hinge strained and firmly held. Inscription to front free endpaper, former owner's label to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages significantly age toned due to paper type, but clean.
