    Fifth edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and thirty-two plates. Collated complete. A missionary travel memoir following a Church Missionary Society worker’s journeys through British East Africa and Uganda, offering vivid travel narratives and portraits of local peoples and landscapes, as well as the emerging Christian communities. With accounts of royal courts, village life, overland travel, and the spiritual aims and practical trials of mission work in so‑called “Pigmy” country. Written by Ruth B. Fisher, an English missionary.

    Condition

    In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Previous owner's bookplate and bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
