Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

In the original publisher's binding, undated. With a frontispiece and two other monochrome plates. Stamp of a previous owner 'A. G. Wykeham-Musgrave' to the front free endpaper. Teddy tells the story behind a button taken from his father's coat after he died in battle. Amy Le Feuvre was a Christian writer, and the tale has a strong religious message.

Condition

In the publisher's original red cloth with illustration and gilt lettering to front board. Externally very smart, with minor bumping to the extremities. Stamp of a previous owner 'A. G. Wykeham-Musgrave' to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with light age toning, and some spotting to the first and last few leaves.
