Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
Very scarce work. A catalogue of cutlery produced by Winegartens, a famous London jewellers that sold watches with movements and cases commissioned from well-known Swiss watchmakers. The company was particularly known for their railway regulator pocket watches, but also as silversmiths, diamond merchants, watch and clock importers, and cutlers. This volume contains a record of their cutlery available for purchase, all manufactured in Britain by Sheffield's finest craftsmen for Firth's Stainless. With examples of carving sets, non-tarnish cutlery sets, baskets of cutlery, cutlery cases, canteens, and more. With the additional supplementary catalogue of canteens in oak and walnut, providing images and examples of large-scale storage options.
Condition
In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart with light wear and minor sunning to the extremities. The odd small mark to the wraps with small creases to the tips. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the extremities.
