What Our Customers Say...
Description
Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
In the original Dutch.
A very scarce and charming Dutch periodical for children, this being part 40.
This popular magazine contains poems, general essays on subjects such as the monarchy and natural history, songs put to music, and short stories.
Illustrated with two colour plates, four monochrome plates, and many in-text illustrations.
Edited by Pieter Louwerse, who largely contributed his own material to this periodical.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with some rubbing and light marks to the boards and spine. Crack to the tail of the rear joint. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Hinges are amateurly reinforced with tape. Spots to the endpapers. Internally, binding is weak with a few pages working loose and some edge wear to pages, with numerous neat repairs throughout the text to the margins and gutters. Pages are bright and clean.
