Very scarce work. Illustrated throughout. A charming children's story following five siblings in the little Stuarts' nursery and their adventures, with a moral and educational conclusion. Written by Amelia Sophia Le Feuvre, an evangelical Christian author of children's books who lived in England. Illustrated by Mary Artemisia Lathbury, an American poet and hymnwriter.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge tender. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers with an ink stamp and bookseller's blind stamp to the front endpaper.
