These scarce annuals stem off of the publisher's fine arts magazine, 'The Art Journal'. The publisher George C. Virtue selected accomplished artists and the best engravers for his publications, producing books that were rarely surpassed in elegance for the period.
Bound in the publisher's very smart decorative cloth.

Condition
Uniformly bound in the original decorative cloth. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound, with pages 13-16 detached but present to 'J. C. Hook etc' and a couple leaves detached but present to 'Marcus Stone etc'. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and occasional scattered spots.
