    Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    Very scarce work. Illustrated throughout with sixteen full colour pages. A delightful collection of short stories for children featuring exciting and exotic animals, with titles such as: Dobbin and Daisy, On the Farm, The Three Bears, The Elephant Family, and The King of the Forest. With a verse from Elsie Sinclair. Illustrated by Albert Ernest Kennedy, or A. E. Kennedy as he was professionally known, an English artist and prolific illustrator. The elder brother of noted flower painter, Cecil Kennedy.

    Condition

    In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper boards. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor loss to the board tips with the odd small mark. Light fading to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small handling mark. The odd small crease to the fore-edge.
