Containing twelve pages of colourful pressed flowers sourced from the Holy Land of Jerusalem, offering a variety of plants that grow naturally in and around sacred sites. Locations given include Tiberias, Bethlehem and Valley of the Jordan.
Collections such as these were popularly bought as souvenirs by visitors on pilgrimage to the Holy Land during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Condition
In the publisher's original olive wood boards with cloth spine. Externally, hinges have failed, with text block only held barely by front hinge cord. With a split down the rear joint cloth and loss to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Whilst age toned with light spots to throughout, the bulk of spotting has been caught by the tissue guards.
