    Description

    Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

    Revised and re-edited edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and eleven plates. Collated complete. A popular work on British ornithology, looking in particular at the eggs and nests of British birds. Written by John Christopher Atkinson, an English author, antiquary, and priest. Illustrated by William Stephen Coleman, an English painter and book illustrator.

    Condition

    In the original beige cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and minor bumping. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Light spotting to the first and last few pages. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper with a plain sticker covering another inscription.
