    Description

    Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    Very scarce work. Designed in England, printed in Germany. Illustrated throughout with four chromolithograph pages. A collection of the fables attributed to Aesop, a Greek fabulist and storyteller noted for his tales characterized by anthropomorphic animal characters. Many of the tales credited to him were gathered across the centuries and in many languages in a storytelling tradition that continues to this day. Illustrated by Graham Robert, a British artist and illustrator.

    Condition

    Bound in modern cloth, with the original wraps bound in. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small mark and minor age toning to the extremities.
