Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, colour title page, and seven colour plates. Collated complete. Written by Jane Porter, an English historical novelist, dramatist and literary figure. Illustrated by Walter G. Grieve, a Scottish artist and illustrator. More About Pixie, c1920. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece. Lacking title page. Written by Jessie Bell, an English writer who wrote under her married name Mrs George de Horne Vaizey.

Condition

In the original pictorial red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spines of most volumes with the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge starting to The Gorilla Hunters, The Lamplighter, and More About Pixie, with the title page lacking to the latter. Both hinges starting to Scottish Chiefs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the endpapers with further age toning to the pages of The Gorilla Hunters. A school prize bookplate to the front pastedown of Through Bible Lands and The Gorilla Hunters.
