An uncommon collection of short stories by Mark Twain.

This anthology includes 'The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County', 'Aurelia's Unfortunate Young Man', 'Curing a cold', 'Lucretia Smith's Soldier', 'Remarkable Instances of Presence of Mind', 'A Sandwich Island Editor', and more.

Mark Twain was the pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, as is known as one of the great fathers of American literature.

Undated, dated from the publisher's imprint; Ward, Lock & Co traded as 'Ward, Lock, and Bowden' from 1893 to 1897.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, with new endpapers. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the spine and extremities. A few minor marks to the boards. Spine is a little faded. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the occasional scattered spot. A few pencil marks to the text.
