Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Complete in three volumes. Revised editions. Very scarce works. First book is a corrections copy with the second and third books being file copies. Illustrated throughout. A collection of three French reading books for the nursery and elementary school learning based on standard methods of language study. With various exercises and short stories to read in French and develop an understanding of the language. Written by Lady Bell, a British author of children's stories and educational books who wrote under many names, including Mrs. Hugh Bell and Lady Florence Bell.

Condition

In the original cloth binding, the first and second books are cloth over paper wraps while the third book is cloth over boards. Externally, smart with light wear and fading to the extremities. Minor bumping to the board edges. Light loss to the spine of the second book. With a corrections or file copy sticker to the front board of each volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the extremities.
