A scarce work.

A unique and abridged edition of this popular novel, an 'expanding' edition, with six movable colour photo engravings.

'Robinson Crusoe' is a popular travelogue-style novel, seeing Crusoe's struggles as he spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island.

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the Victoria and Albert Museum Libraries.

Collated, lacking the directions to the front board, otherwise complete, with all illustrations present.

Prior owner's stamp to the recto of the front endpaper.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing and marks to the boards. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Light fading to the front board. Stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with a few scattered spots and handling marks.
